Big Moose

Just saw a picture of Big Moose (427) on the home page, I noticed It had what appeared to be many rope shaped mouldings coming from the stem and running into the water.

Can someone tell me what the theory of the hulls design was, also was it succesful

thanks buddy that's kinda what I figured but aint erudite enough to know for certain.

Do you know if it did well, was the spray rail design meant to trap water particles and did it go all the way down ?
