the past 5-6 yrs there´s been a lot of talk about building fast (like 36 and up knots) Ro-ro ships for the Baltic especially for the Finland-Sweden/Germany routes , these new ones will be a lot smaller than the current behemoths thus being more friendlier against Archipelagos erosion and also being a lot more fuel efficient.Not a bad thing in my eyes.
The current ferries are just way too big to operate on narrow channels..still they do it with M/S Europa for example.
