Basically I think what they're trying to say is that the bravo 1 should give a higher top end, but this will call for a taller prop (more pitch).
As mentioned, the bravo 3 drives have much more grip. As they're on a big formula, this extra grip may be needed to get on the plane in an acceptable time, if at all.
Going down to B1's, along with putting on taller props may result in more top end, but you may never get there to find out. At best, expect much more time/effort getting onto the plane.
