Bravo drive for 1987 260 Stinger, 7.4 mpi

Hi Guys,

I hope you can point me to the right choice. I have a friend with a 1987 260 Stinger, 7.4 mpi that is been rebuild to only one drive. He has got 2 drive to choose from, but wich is the best choise for boat and engine (7.4 mpi) ?

1: Bravo 1 - 1:1,5 gear ratio
2: Bravo 2 - 1:2.0 gear ratio

He is currently using the B1 drive and running an old Mirage 15"x21" at 4100 rpm WOT, which is about 500 rpm to low, I have suggested him to try a 17" Rev4, that should bring the rpm up to about 4500 rpm.

What are your recommendations on prop selection?

Weight 3950 lbs 1795 kg
Fuel Capacity 135 gals 511 lt

I have a bravo 2 drive for sale, it's 1.87 ratio

You need to use the 1.5:1 Bravo 1.

I'd expect a 19" mirage to be about right.
