Canopy hatch "latches"

Does anyone know of any other canopy hatch retaining devices other than the tiger performance ones as fitted in the V24's? I need to hold some hatches down in a horizontal direction and the tiger perf ones are really only good when used vertically and under tension. Does anyone know how the F1 boats do it?

Any info would be helpful.

Seebold just use pip pins and O rings
Dragon and KRB use a similar arrangement to Tiger
Sent you a PM with what DAC use.

What about velcro?

Also, some of the inshore boys use some persplex that just fits 50% on the canopy and the other 50% you then bend, close the canopy and let go, it then holds the canopy in place, all you then do is push the canopy and it release.

Does that make any sense?

If I can find some photos of Philippe Desertaines canopy from a few years ago.

Carl.

Real Nasty version of what Carl is talking about. Personally I don't like that method I think the canopy may burst open with a side load.

I've of put the perspex on the canopy not the cell, also, if you run side rails that make the canopy sit properly and hopefully not burst open with a side load!

We use Velcro on the Osprey Dunk Rig! Because there are so many options, we can't test for them all! And this is the easiest! Feel free to investigate it when you do your dunk

Carl.
