Cant start ! :-(

I cant get my boat to start !

Theres a good spark at each plug, compressions are ok, but no firing !?

Fuel is from last year - is that the likely cause ?

Would fresh fuel make that much difference ?

Thanks for listening.

Should start on old fuel!!!

If you winterised it its probably just oiled up. Could be that the fuel that was sat in the carbs has evaporated off and left the oil behind which has bunged it up a bit. You could try cleaning the carbs or alternatively just keep trying and it should go eventually. Mines a **** to start if it hasn't been run for a while but it goes eventually.

start outboard

clean carbs if you get a main jet blocked the outboard can blow put new fuel in this can also do the same if you have spark and compression + fuel it will run

starting

check fuel is getting through , then i would take air box off
pull plug's out ,spray carb cleaner into carbs with throttle open
leave for 20 mins pull kill cord and turn it over once any crap has been blown out the back, clean plugs but back in, prime the bulb, kill cord back on , muffs on , and see if she runs, spray a little cleaner throuh front of carbs not reving it to much, once it has settled down turn off air box back on and you sorted, well thats
my 2 p worth
