Whats best set up for them? engine size etc

Will a 3 cyl merc 75 be ok for one centre on transom or stepped to one side?

What is the biggest engine they would take?

might be a bit slow with a 75. I had an 85hp V4 Evinrude, then a 135hp, was a nicer boat with the 85.

What are they good for engine size?

or what is involved (If possible) in changing the 75 to a 90 ?

Ok so IV got my self a 90hp 3cyl mariner.
The grey engine doesn't match the colour scheme of the hull.
Not sure wether to do a bit of a custom job and paint boat and engine some different colour.
Seems wrong as the clam shell cowls are mint.
