Question desperate question... damaged spinelli hub...

Hi all,

I've got a spinelli that i'm running on my cat which has rather a lot of sentimental value to it's owner... my girlfriend's dad!
Trouble is the hub has just killed itself, the part with the splines cut into it has seperated from the part in the rubber bush.

As far as i'm aware spinelli don't exist any more, so where on earth can repair this, and how much is it likely to be? Could propeller revs do it?

Worst of all, i needed it to come out and marshall/watch at the worlds but i'm assuming i don't have a chance of getting it back by then! it's a 32 and the closest other prop i've got is a 28

Thanks in advance,

James

2 answers to that problem, either send your prop to http://www.propellersolutions.co.uk (prop revs)

or get a new girlfriend

Dont Panic Mr Mannering,

It's just a standard Mercury Bush which is easily replaced.

Techteam - Glad to hear it's just a standard bush... are they easy to get for spinelli props seeing as spinelli don't exist any more, or do all manufacturers use a standard part?

Cheers for the help guys, i think my head may yet stay attached to me!!

Now I can understand sleeping with his daughter in order to get a borrow of his prop but that's going a bit far isn't it.

An easy fix so long as proprevs or whatever they are called nowadays have a bush in stock but I would be very surprised if they didn't

They have done all the re-hubs on my spinellis small to fat including machining of the thing - nice work, if you get stuck I have a 26" with a hub you can push out I wont use it got a cracked blade
