difference between ring and phantom
What are the main differences between Ring 18 and Phantom 18 both similar looking ??

they are completely different about the only thing they have in common is the length.

if your looking at 18's
ive got an 18ft ring
it is overpowered with a 225 max
i dont think a p18 would be
i wish id got a p18, but rings never the less are a good fun boat

Freedom, a 225 shouldn't be overpowered.
I had an 18 foot Ring
I now have an 18 foot Phantom.
Phantom is a much better handling boat. I had the same Merc 260 on each boat.
The Ring set up was harder to get to with that power but it took it. Chine walked for a while til i got it riding right. Used to hook like a bastard though if you gave it a bit too much in a corner.
Its funny how the Phantom is a lot lighter than the ring but handles more power easier and turns corners more smoothly. Never hooked it yet!
