Dismantling an Offshore leg - anything I need to know?

I've got an older style offshore leg that is a bit scruffy, and I want to strip and paint it before it goes on my new boat, is it all as straightforward as it looks? I don't wanna get halfway through to find I need a special tool or something...

Cheers

Paul
