engine starting
i went to hunstanton on sunday to watch the ski racing.while the boats were on their trailers in the car park a lot of the guy's fired up their engines.ie while not in the water.as soon as they fired up they switched them off. is it ok to do this ie to check the engine will start prior to launching as long as it is switched off as soon as it fires?

Important street cred tip that.
When there are a lot of boats to lauch you dont want any holdup on the slip, start & away.
another tip "Plug in Jackplug" & keep a spare on each crewmember.
You look daft when ya co driver is 40' back & you can't start to go get him !

Woz just a spare as in one in dee olden days. I always found it easier to have two on eash jacket along with a zip lock bag with two smokes & a waterproof lighter.
