Evinrude Battery

Can anyone advise the minimum size battery i could use with Evinrude 115HO, for example would an "Odyssey 525" be adequate ? http://www.odysseybattery.com/battspecs.html

seriously struggling to find room for a full size battery / oil tank and a Navigator !

If you are looking at saving weight try a 12 or 16 cell ballistic !!12 cell weighs slightly over 1kg. Check spec in BRP manual as they like a lot of grunt !!

Hows your testing going ?

Ok !! Not sure on 525 but had no end of trouble with 535's & 625's. The PC680's were excellent !! Just been recommended a Shorai.
Lithium is definately the way forward but not sure for the Etec.

Make sure you meet the minimum CCA as stated in the manual (not sure on a 115) and don't use wingnuts or quick release terminals... The EMM will crap itself if there's any fluctuation when running due to a loose connection.

I use a blue top Optima with my 200HO and have never had a problem

Put it between youre legs...
Remember carbonfiber leads power. It will always be a problem...
Just a smal tip... Take off + when u dont use youre boat for a few days.
And buy a spare battery...

A long weekend at the workshop and it should be ready for testing...

Do we see u at the startline in Tvedestrand 2013..?

As long as your plan doesn't involve stealing my shorter navigator that's fine

When i raced my old BAT19 with yam, i had the battery stropped on a Carbon bracket on right side back in the boat/transom.
I recommand that i put battery like the PC680. Do not go for a smaler one. Move youre battery and oil tank more in front (same areal as youre foot throttle).
This because the etec i so heavy compared to the Yamaha, u need more weight in front.
Put your battery and oil tank on the left side, and the hydraulic pump for youre lifter on right side.

I hope for rough condotions next year in tvedestrand!
It use to be rough, it was ***** calm/flat every 3days in last years worlds!!

Do we see some tintoreras next year?
What about you bob?
Any catamarans - B-90??
