Exceeding hull HP spec

Hi folks

I currently have a 1998 bayliner trophy 2002WA and am looking at a 2006 Yamaha 200hp hpdi for it.
Thing is I have just found the max hp rating for the boat is 175hp, so 25hp over
Managed to insure the boat with no issues whatsoever and am confident the boat can take the weight of the Yamaha (220kg)!

Is an extra 25hp really going to be an issue?

Any advice would be awesome!

99% of the boats on here are probably overpowered...

200 HPDI is a beautiful motor in my opinion, Reliable and useable! Just go for it, the HPDI 150 & 175 that you would alternatively be opting for will weigh exactly the same!

I'm sure it'll be fine until you need to make a claim. If they know, get it in writing..

I ran a Phantom 16 with a V6 Merc on the back and both boat and driver live on.
