Thanks Tony, I have instigated a search for the people you mentioned. Anyone with contact details, for anyone who would know more about this boat, please let me know.

Tony...Any idea if Marinautic will have the hand throttle adapter, any time soon? If not, can you supply it for me? Summer is here soon and would like the setup right, for the start.

Thanks

Peter

PS. If HIN´s were not a requirement in those days and the "hull number" can´t be found, is there any regulations for adding a new HIN, engraved into the hull, topsides etc?

Hi Edge, I did contact the club but was told that they only arranged transportation for them and that mine might have been one, of two, that were shipped to the Malaga (Spain) area.

Yeh, got one sitting next to me, just waiting for Fedex to tell me what I owe them for shipping and taxes.

I'll chase them up and get back to you.

Right, just made a couple of phone calls, and I've got you the number of Stefan Whitmarsh, who is the son of the guy who used to build the Bonito's, I'll pm it to you.

Hi all,

I found a number (as photo). Couldn't find any engravings etc but found this, looks like chalk, under the space, between the back seats and the engine bay. Don't know what the numbers mean but look like 96 2 and a reverse "L" underlining them. I guess that as the motors and dribes are 96, this could be the year.

Thanks

Pete

As far as I can remember it was never black , I think it started life grey or gold, then red ( cossack / Hi Performa ) then grey / blue Manhatton plus probably some others that I can't remember. The one I think you're talking about was Tony Young's 2nd one which had a wing and a flush deck ? which was originally sponsored by Guinness ( wonder what happened to it ? was in Eastlands boatyard apparently at one time ) .

That's right called Pure Genius, I came across it in Eastlands about 2001 sitting on blocks drives still in place but engines removed and yes it had a wing on.
Does anyone know what happened to it ?
