Fletcher Serial numbers
Probably one for the fletcher guy on the forum that I helped out with the article he wanted!
Anyone know how to decode the serial number of a fletcher i.e. tell the year / month of manufacture? Is the year the last two digits?
Cheers
Stewart

Hello Silversurfer
Yes, as Chaos stated - it is the two last digits wich indicates the year of manufacture.
Kind regards
Troels

Yes the little serialnumber plate is missing on a lot of Fletchers.
Acording to an ex-employee at Fletcher the serial number is also imprinted in the hull. The location is different on each model and sometimes even changed during the years...
I dont have any information on the individual places the number is placed on each model.

Do you know what the "letter " stands for in the middle of the serial number?

Hi!
Sometimes the serial number is printed on a label and glued to somewhere under the deck - just find it :-)
I dont have a letter on my fletcher serial , but older ones have them:
For example 170SS12379
Where SS stands for inboard version.
greetings!
Andi
