I believe they are still the best !! This looks like the new, recently re-introduced one!! I suspect it has been listed by the guy thats making them.
Standard one has no VHF input but if you ask nicely they might make you one !!
If you get stuck, let me know as i may still have a headset with the VHF input.

Bob

I think I was about the second or third offshore racer to use Graytronics back in 1986 / 7?

I think the first racer to use it was Jonathan Lucas.

Even in those days the system was way and above its rivals.

It did however have its downside, it was the first time my dad (my navigator) ever heard me swear at him - for taking me the wrong side of a mark!

I've looked into the cost of making my own to a similar standard of graytronics - even assuming I can find/design appropriate amps, filters & power supples. As soon as you bear in mind it's using good quality components, handmade to order, by a bloke in the UK, it starts to look like quite good value.
It's not the kind of thing you can get a chinese factory to churn our 10 million of for 5p each - or you can, but you'll end up with 999990 of em left in stock!

I have got lots of S/H ones !! Been using them since 1989 !! I could also do you a good trade in deal on the bits you have got for a new set, like the ones several of our guys use.
PM or call in if you need anything.

Bob
