help.

ive already asked about this on fibnet and not received many replies so i'll try here.my dad who lives in spain has a yam 3 metre inflatable fitted with 8hp yamaha engine.the boat accellerates but will not plane without someone hanging over the bow,if he's in the boat by himself he says the bow lifts up and would topple over backwards if he did'nt throttle back.how can this be cured?

already tried that,i should also state my dad has owned boats for over 30 years and this has left him baffled.he's also tried fuel tank at bow and raising engine.owt else he can try before he buys a proper boat.

Someone on FIBnet did ask this, but i'll ask again, is it long (20") shaft? that would cause this exact problem.

lifters

Try these maybe

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...496334959&rd=1

or you could make them from sheet aluminium fairly easily

I've been doing the Mar Menor for the past 10 years. Is your Dad the bloke who has his boat in the camping area to the north of Mar De Cristal? If so, give him my regards, I'm the geeza with the 18' Red Phantom (Wayne Kerr), we met at several locations, 1st was the Spanish beach bar at "el Galan"
I'll sort him, if all has not been resolved.
Are you the one that done Ski Racing?

Regards.
