Instruments and senders

Hi again!

I`m doing the rigging on the boat now-installing new Livorsi/Gaffrig instruments and i have one hole left in the instrument panel and two meters left to chose from, one is a electrical trim-meter and the other is a fuel-pressure meter...

I would prefer to use the fuelpressure, since I feel that this is much more usefull info, rather than the trim-meter-the trim meter is just to fill in the hole in the dash in the consol...if it comes to that.

But when I bought these instruments I had a 2.5EFi-now I have a XR2...

Have anyone fitted such a fuel-pressure meter to their XR2?

I`m half scared that I would mess up the fuel-flow on the pressure side of the mecanical fuel pump when installing a "T" for the sender?

Any ideas how to sovle this? All inputs are welcomed-pictures of solutions would be great!

it will be fine, it won't make any difference to the fuel flow but dont expect anymore than 7psi on the meter with xr2

Ok, thanks Burty-Will look into it then. With the T-connection and all.

Do you have to use livorsi`s own senders or, can you use another within the simular measuring range?

i would stick to same manufacturer for gauge and sender as they will more than likely be calibrated differently

Got the senders today...

Hi!

Just wanted to say that I got the senders today-ordered from a company here in Norway who carry Gaffrig over here.

And when opening the package I was quite supriced to find a VDO-sender for the fuel pressure.(With the Gaffrig wiring-instructions)

The meter is a Gaffrig 0-15Psi and the sender is a VDO 0-2Bar.
This is from Gaffrig, with Gaffrig`s own prices...

Well at least i got them now..
