Don't know what the best to use is - but I use a teflon based marine wax and it stays shiny a long time (even the dried salt blows away in the wind as it claims!)- Someone told me a long time ago never to use automotive based polishing products, as they contain ammonia and in the sun that is what causes the yellowing or sunbleaching - rings pretty true I think as the caravan fraternity claim the same -Starbrite do a colour restorer - i'd use that then seal with their teflon polish.- hope it helps.

Morning Jon, Happy New Year to you too

Anyway, looks like its gone to pastures new as the Mrs wanted to go fast. Something a bit quicker has arrived in its place

Back to the original question, if your mate is a professional valeter what does he recommend?

Pete

Dunno if the valeter has an opionion for ribs to be honest, but my reccomendation for improving the look of a rib is a large, dark coloured all-over cover or tarp.
Alternatively, you could turn it upside down, put the bit back on that was removed when the running surface was stolen from the Phantom 23 and leave that for the world to see, as it's beautiful, or at least it was in it's original guise.

Have a butchers at www.permagard.info
Had my RED Phantom done last June, spend a month in Spain with it, it still looks better than when it came out of the mould.

Didnt know T cut still gets made, G3 and G10 took over the cutting back of paints etc 15 years ago mate.
But your one the right track for renewing a surface finish.

If your stickers are not laquared dont go anywhere near them with polishing mop.
All other areas 2500 wet and dry soapy water,
Then G3 with white grade compounding foam head again with soapy water on machine.
Then on to G10 as before.
Then good wax, and remmember to only polish up with 100% cotton mutton cloth.
Any polyester content will only finely scatch finished surface, so beware.

( When using a machine with compouding head on machine be very careful near corners as it cuts deep quickly)

THE RESULTS ARE AMAZING

Freedom
If you lived nearer i would give you a help doing it.
Cheers gaZ

A polishing machine from the outside looks like a 9" grinder, but has speed settings, and WILL remove colour and stickers with ease, believe me i've had the tee shirt for it in the past mate.
I'll post a photo of one in about 5 mins.
