How much difference in performance between a 20 21p on a merc 200 on ring 20

I think you will find the 21 is a large hub and the 20 a small hub so you will probably notice quite a difference not necessarily an improvement-check your gearbox casing size. I would have thought you would be better of with a 23 as this should give 65-70 mph with 200hp and a sensible pull out (holeshot),the 21 will give a good pull out but probably over rev.I hope this helps.Nic

I had a 21p on my phantom 21 with a merc 200 on and I was getting 62mph to 65mph and reving too around 6400rpm so ive pert a tempest plus on her 25p and was getting around 66 to 70mph at around 5800rpm but now ive had a bit of work done too the engine ive gone too a 26p prom now so all is well hope that helps mate.

I've just brought the boat and its already got a 23p on it but I didn't think it would be better for top end than a 21p or 20p I had a ring 20 with a 21p on a 225 Suzuki only done 58mph with the engine sitting on the transom

put the boat in the water and try it and then you can work out rpm and speed i would go with the 23p for what you need
