Loosening up twin ride guide??

Hi all,

I got a st of the above with the cat, and a set with the engines. The engine set are great, but too short. The cat set are the right length, but turning the engines is definately a 2 hand job, when out of the water!

What can i do to loosen them up a bit? They seem a bit neglected! I plan to give the grease nipples a good pumping but is there anything else i can do? Is it still possible to buy the cables? They're around 18ft long iirc.

Cheers, James

Oh jeez, I don't fancy spending £300 plus on cables, i could put that towards hydraulic steering!
So is there nothing else i can do wit them then? When i looked at the boat originally with Martin the steering had totally locked up, took a lot of abuse and grease to free up. It seemed to be the stainless parts on the end that were causing the issue, I'm guessing there's no way of getting these off to swap them over for the others?
What a kerfuffle!

James
