Lower Unit Cracks

Our new laser welder makes gearbox cracks easy. No heat build up so no need to strip the box. High penetration means you weld into the crack not on top.

No, that is still probably best done with a Tig, the laser welds with wire little thicker than a hair so it would not be ideal.

Interesting subject,
Good having small a HAZ,
Have you bombed any welds with Iridium 192 or Solenium 75 if so what kind of results did you get,
Just somthing I'm looking at for work for welding Inconel 925 tube.

No, it was bought for a very specific task and strangely the guy that ordered it got everything for ally and magnesium castings
