Lowering transom

What's the best way to remove a few cm off a transom ?
Circular saw ? chainsaw ? Battle axe ?

And what boat is it?

It's my Argo. Currently the bullet is 2.5cm above the sponsons but because the skeg was reduced the hull is way to flighty even at 100kph.

That sounds about right phil, would it not be easier to get a different lower unit than chopping up a transom?

What prop you running? 2.5cm isnt a huge height. Ive found some props on the 21 SportCat to be frightening, large diameter hydromotive is one, boat runs fast but its twitchy!
