Making upright bit for rear seat of seaquel 600xs??

Hi,

I'm just building the rear seat for my cat, which has the deck of a 600xs on it. Question is, the rear seat is curved, a bit in the middle and a lot at the sides. That probably makes no sense but i can't think of a better way to describe it, i'll find a pic.

What would be the best/easiest way to make the upright part of the seat? In smething like a phantom it's flat at the back so it can be made with just a length of 1/2" ply, I've got to find a way to make it stay curved?

Any ideas? Did gav ever make a bit for this? Would anyone have a pic of a fitted rear seat in a 600? Chaos?

Cheers, James

Glue 3 pieces of 4 mm ply together while held in the curve you need. It will keep its shape.

Just found some photos, it'd seem you're absolutely right! The back seemed to hinge up to give access to the vent area.
This isn't required on mine so i'm planning to make it as one piece.

Glad you think that'll work, i figured that would be the best way, kinda like a low tech laminating! I'll give it a shot and post some pics.

Cheers for the help as always guys,

James

Here are some pic's of the 3parts of wich the rear bench is made in the 600XS .
Like Hydrostream said use mutiple thin layers of plywood to make it work .
