(Merc, MAC, ONC) DDT - PC

Well in theory this should work, not tried it yet as I have other things on the Midas which are much further up the food chain......... One for late summer

So to get your DDT talking to your PC this would be the logical action.
First check your DDT output socket this should be a 3 pin.
Get a Standard 9 pin Serial connector from local shop also a TA4FL connector normally this is a switchcraft available from RS Components.
Cable to suit, 3 cores or more with a shield.
Pin outs as per the pic below
You should PM at this point wink wink
Install logger software on you’re the PC (Requires Windows95/98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows2000, or Windows XP, and a computer with a serial port or USB to Serial Adapter….not sure of vista that’s an unknown)
When installed & hooked up you should be able to establish a connection to the DDT, "print" saved events and save them to a comma- separated-value (csv) file that can be opened and viewed using Excel.

Or you can buy a lead & the interface

In theory Yes but I dont have the software for that, not sure if it even exists, all designed around the DDT for Field work , so very much a self contained unit which you add to

I understood that the coms are encrypted, so the issue is decrypting and interpreting the results, not getting it to hook up.
