Mercruiser Bravo 1 MerCathode

Has anyone any experience with Mercruiser MerCathode module or know much about them, I believe my Bravo 1 drive is supposed to have one.

The boat is for sea use but is not going to be kept in the water, however it may be left in a week of fortnight for annual holiday.

Is it worth spending the money on one and do they work, or am I better just sticking to anodes?

All the Bravo's have them, as do most of the Alpha's. I don't know how well they work, but they won't do any harm.
