Can any one tell me what the bolt and thread size is for the bolt that you get to under the torque tab on the gearbox is. The one i've just taken off, had no bolt at all.
Many Thanks,
Graham.

I'm guessing a bit here. But I think it's either 3/8 or 7/16 UNC. pretty sure it's 3/8.

7/16 - 14 TPI is a UNC 25 ft/lbs fink you were looking at the Lh block for the 80 rather than the RH block for the "Heavies"

MMmmnn, as I read it, Splitpin wanted to know the thread type/size of the bolt that locates the rear of the lower unit to the mid section, that is hidden by the tab and you access once the trim tab/anode is removed.

The only 7/16 UNC (14tpi) I can see listed there, is the one that actually screws into the tab/anode itself to locate it.

So I assume that all the main locating/retaining bolts for lower/mid, are 7/16 UNF (20tpi)
