UPDATE......

She's a goer!!!!!!

Happy as a pig in sh#t, dodgy fuse holder on the motor, re route on the battery cables, new ignition, fuel filter and bingo bango, Mercury Power is back, very happy, she purrs, now I've gotta get the accessory wiring redone, retrim on the side panels, new seat bearers and put the hole thing back together.
A couple of weeks and she'll be right

Just need a couple of new solenoids for a pair of older Mercury K Series Trim Tabs and I'm away, they are a little sticky and I'm not happy, any pointers.

Will update with pics soon.

Bit of an update.....

Stripped all the interior down to the floor. Removed side panels, dash, dash pad, seats etc etc.
Ditched all the wiring, removed the steering, pulled the clocks out.
Re flowcoated areas that needed it, steamed all the seats, re trimmed the other interior panels.
Made a new carbon dash panel, finished it with an orange edge, white pinstripe and clear coated, refitted all the panels, clocks, steering etc etc, then rewired everything
All thats left to do now is to re instal the bow tank water pick up lever and the Quicksilver control (does anyone know a good replacement for a shift control?, I've got a foot throttle just fancy a nice shifter).
Seats back in and then it's off to work to off load her and then work on the trailer
Gonna have her on the water for the Xmas break which is usually around a month over here, can't wait to get skiing behind this one. A few of these 21's have been GPS'd at 70mph plus, so if I get the prop and the motor nicely balanced I should have some fun.
Did I mention that there isn't a speed limit on our local river, oooh yeah, early morning rise, down the ramp and skiing at 6.30am @ 25c, gotta love Aussie summers
Will post some updated pics soon
Cheers fellas

Hi Damon, I used to live at McGraths Hill, right oposite the high school. Spent many happy days on the Hawkesbury.

There was a guy a few hundred metres further up just after the junction with McGrath Road that built/rigged/repaired boats n engines, if he is still there he may be of help if you have any more problems.

Small world eh?

Pittwater is a really nice area but is a little bit of a jaunt when there are a lot of places nearer. You would have loved Avalon, very beautiful.

McGraths Hill, when were you here last?, they have now finished the Windsor Rd upgrade and all the area you would remember has modernised dramatically, TR Marine has grown 3 times larger and Blakes is HUGE. I'm pretty sure I know the guy you mean, there are so many builders in this area, couple of really good ski race builders especially! Everingham and Force boats are very close and build a great boat.
