mold's

when you make a mold do you use normal gel coat of is there a special gel for mold's?

you can buy tooling gel, which is more expensive than normal. It really depends on how long you intend to use the mould for.

yes and no!

if you use tooling gel and resin the shrinkage is very little, and the quality of finish is far superior IMHO! Tooling a mould in the proper stuff costs 3 times more than standard materials. some do some dont but when you have put months of hard work into something i think it deserves the right materials.

We're using feck all gel at the moment.... The pays not all that but the hours are good!
