Mounting an outboard 'inboard'

I know it was done in the past, but any idea how.

This was mounting a powerhead from a two stroke outboard as an inboard engine.

How was it done -
What leg was used -

etc..

Mk4 speedmasters (x2) in a wooden cat, with six (four at first I think) 2.4EFI powerheads, linked together using Gimler toothed belts, like those used on big blower instalations.

twoz called 'Popeyes' and is now laying rotting away (quite advanced rotting) in a yard in North Miami.

19' Bernico with an early 3.6 Johnson V8 power head mounted inside ski races in Belgium. I think the leg is a Bravo with a Land & Sea extension box. It has raced in F2 for many years and is still very quick.
