need help from the 2.5 v6 mercury guys

Hi

just got a new power head but it oil inj. i have got the old engine wich is not and the outher one is not. just wounding if i fit the old intake manfold, carbs and reed holder etc to the new engine will this give me any hassel.
the new engine is the same age as the other one but mine a race preped so very bear of any bits.
