Almost there, on tickover the water temp rises quickly with no pressure and tell tale but when underway the water temp drops quickly and I have water pressure and water out of the tell tale and also out of the modded/removed poppet valve.
I'm now gonna fit a different water pump body that has a larger water tube and ream out the one piece adapter plate for the tube to fit. The aim being to get more water into the block.
Do you reckon it's gonna work?????

i doubt it. because its down to your water impeller pushing the water up the pipe and a 1/2" pipe won't be a restriction on tick over.
Whip the cover off the heads where the water pipes go and see what size restrictors you have in there

Hi Karl, Yes, I removed it and fitted a modified cover with an outlet pipe to dump the water. As you saw on scream and fly they say you can't match the 2.5 steel sleeved motor to the one piece plate as it runs too cold. On tickover it gets hot very quickly but as soon as your on the move it drops off quickly, now I'm concerned it could nip up because of the sudden difference in temp between the piston and bore. I'd really like to use the one piece if poss.

take the powerhead off and have a small piece off ali angle welded in to the space below( on the adaptor) where the poppet valve is this forms a small chamber with the side of the plate ,drill and tap the side the side of the plate and insert an elbow to you have an water exit when the poppit is open. have the top of the plate where the ali angle sticks up machined so the plate will seal. put the power head back on .you can adjust you wot temp by altering the flow of water from the elbow . i found about 3mm hole was good at wot

Blimey Mike, sling it down to Egg-on-Legs, he'll sort it.
Check the sensor first!

The sensors fine. It's all to do with controling the water thats being dumped down onto the exhaust and also out through the the poppet valve outlet I think.
Its a pain in the arse. Our mate assures me following a telephone conversation this afternoon that the big bore water pump will cure all.
Feck Liverpool have just gone 2-1 up

You could just change to a dry stacked mid section then regulate the flow that way.

All of the guts have been removed and I have an elbow on the cover dumping the water out of the side of the tray. Can I put a control valve on it to decrease the water flow.(to increase the water temp at wot)
Tickover water temp is the main problem.
