I havent seen Matts 830 close up,but i would like something similar,a little cuddy in it,bench seat for the mates at the back, inboard, trailerable, theres a p25 stuck in my garage cryin out to be brought back to life, she needs to be a little longer and a tab wider to give me what i want at the mo,similar to what you want,if i get this Shakearspear deal done and dusted and get the laminator am after on board will defo be lookin at it ,not a Splash as such,a total revamp, longer, wider with a stepped hull, but the p25 characteristics as its core.

Hmmm, very true Jon. IIRC though, there's a thick pad of glass under the engine bay part of the longits, which for some god-unknown reason isn't continued up the boat. But then they're glassed in properly and braced too, which isn't continued up the boat either, again, god knows why not!
I see what you mean about the transverse bulkheads, there's plently of stress as a result of the ones that are currently there. Would it be worth my while adding some longitudinal support along the sides too, as done in the P25's? Or would i not really benefit from that?

Is there anything i could do to add this strength without dividing my cabin into 3 by linking hull and deck? Or am i just looking to brace up to it in places, such as under the dash, then again where that bulkhead is up front (which i could remove to replace with something more effective). The way im imagining what you're suggesting is what I've seen in P25's, where the stringers are braced to the deck for most of the length after the dash. She's gonna be pure raceboat by the time I've finished otherwise, would've been nice to have kept a little cabin of some form.

It's a lovely idea, but i really need to keep things simple, else I'd be having that P25 off ya! Can't afford to be going with an unknown product when there are tried and tested new hulls out there for the same outlay.
