Smile Phantom 21 fuel tank????

Hello,

I need to order a new fuel tank for my phantom 21. I want it to go under the floor but i am not sure if the tank that fits is going to hold enough fuel. I will be put a 200hp xr2 on the back.

Can any one recommend what size tank i will need in litres or if some one out there has a phantom 21, what size tank is in yours?

I want to be able to get a good days use out of the boat with out having to keep topping up.

cheer
matt

i can get a 150 litre in there nicely but at a push i can get 195 but the tank is bigger at the transom end so more weight at the rear would that affect anything?(handling etc)

for optimum speed you want as much weight at the back as possible
if you want maximum time on the watewr go for the 195litre if you find it really effects the handling then you dont have to fill it right up

ok mate. How long do you think i will get on the water with 150 litres cruising with a xr2 on the back. Also the fuel tank is 12cm deep do you know if i will get a sender to fit that depth? Cheers for your help mate.

xr2 has got to burn 3/4 litre a min i guess when cruising and probably 1.5litres a min flat out. not sure about a sender as i have never run one myself as found they are a little unreliable
