Pitted propshaft ?

Will a pitted propshaft on a 300x promax torquemaster box stop the seal from sealing properly?.Its a 2003 engine with low hours.I have never had this before even on old engines.
Thanks Nick

Yes, the Promax shafts are prone to rust where the seal sits . I think Simonsmotorsports on Screamandfly makes a double seal
