Promax

Is a Promax 150 a 2.5,
If so what changes are required to take the power to 200hp + is it a just a ecu change etc? I thought the 150 s were all 2.0 blocks, but informed today they are not.

Jon Puddifoot would be able to answer that question.

I think they are all 2.5 blocks but would guess that the porting and exhaust chest would be different

150 vs 225 promax

The 150 pro max has different porting ,and different intakecover, crankcasecover, the 150 and 200 has a 5 pedal intake ,the 225 has a 7 pedal
,the blocks were milled out a bit ,so the air/gas mix will flow more easy around the corner at the bottem to enter the boost ports ,exhaust ports are milled higher, exhaust tuner I,m not sure ,the lenght could be different ,although the 225 promax has the same tuner as a 200 EFI for example,if any difference it would be a little longer on the 150 I think.
the ecu is different too,the heads could differ in volume ,but not sure about that, the most power difference come from the blockporting ,and all the other things are needed to let the engine run properly with the right mixture.

I always liked the 225 ,s pro max performance ,its a powerfull engine

Ah seems too much hassle,
Thanks for your info everyone,I had the chance of a 150 promax at the right price if the changes were simple.
