Promax wiring

Ok then you lot, so i've fallen at the 1st hurdle.

can anybody tell me what these 2 plugs are for?

oh yeh, and why i cant find a standard 7 pin plug anywhere on my motor?

i might be wrong ... those plugs are for other things unknown. the plug is possiablay on the end of that black plastic piping that passes next to that bolt on the starter in the picture.

look like diagnostics plugs to me......... did you get a mercury control with this motor? if so has that got the 7 pin plug?

Smartcraft ???? just a guess ,have a look on bighammer at the online service manuals .

i,ve had a lo0k on a 2002 150. 2.5ltr and a 2002 opti an it looks to be to the left of the starter motor. where the bore of the cylinder is.

Smartcraft and Diagnostic. The motor has the option of Digi or Analogue instruments, and for Anologue it uses the standard V6 loom!

You should find the plug/socket on the end of the main wiring loom of the motor!

You need the installation manual - our 225 came with one and it's easy - all the plugs are identifiable by the colour of thier wires, there are quite a few to keep track of though!
