Removing sealant from painted hull.

Does anyone have any tips for removing silicone or sikaflex from paint without damaging the paint?

Thanks Simon

Dow and many others make a silicone dissolver in a tube, same is available for sikaflex, doesn't harm paint & silicone just wipes off.

Apparently panel wipe is good for removing it too though I've not tried it myself. Is the painted surface 2 part or cellulose? If the latter you'll want to be careful what you put on it...
