Photos of deck and dash seem ok; not sure about the stern though!

Look through the messages posted by Mike Ring. One of them shows you how to identify the year of Ring boats, ticket glassed in the underside of the deck behind the dash etc.

Failing that, pm Mike directly! He has been very helpful with some queries that my brother and I have had regarding my boats.

Like Julian says, even I do not recognise the aft osf the deck !!!

Looks as if the hull is based on a Ring 16 series B from 79-83 ?

Photo of the hull bottom aft please.

Mike.

Think Chaos might be right......

http://www.boatsandoutboards.co.uk/view/F195787

The screen looks lower and hull little more blunt or jelly mouldy at the front
noticibly shorter in appearance

I think I've seen it before too.

The seats give it away.....or at least look familiar.

Burried in a thread on here probably.

Maybe it's Chaos' way of 'fessing up to where the Ring transfers came from.

Matt

I do n't think there is anything wrong with the boat.

There is lots of history on the boat in this forum -just look at the posts by wavejumper.

The only issue I guess is that is not a Ring but a Marina which l believe is legitimately based on a mould/design by Mr Ring.

I understand there have been other instances where this is not the case and Mr R can get a bit prickly about this subject.

Personally I prefer the Corsican which according to Chaos is effectively a 16C but for some reason there weren't many made.

Bottom line is it should really be passed off as Ring to a potential buyer as this is misleading people.

Shame its lost it engine having only recently been completed.

Mike weren't there Ring15's raced in the mid-eighties or have I completely lost the plot.

BTW Matt did you sell the Ring18 after ?

Unless the well has been modified (quite extensively) that isn't a Marina/Ring16C. The dash looks a little different as well IIRC, I don't remember the little step down from the dash pod to the pad.
