Ring 20B Rear Seat

About to do some small tidying jobs on my brothers boat...

Rear seat has been repaired in the past but needs attention again.

The whole seat squab, lower back cushion(there are two as opposed to the material curtain) and ply uprights lift out as one assembly which resembles a park bench for want of a better expression.

Is this a one off?

I did think this was original as the trim all matches but when looking at an older 18/2?A yesterday saw a back seat that looked more like the usual glassed in ply with the seperate seat cushion sitting on top.

We want to fix things up and make as original as possible.

Does anyone know of or have a similar arrangement.

I think the hull is a 20B MK2 and been raced at some point.

As mentioned in above thread, my brothers and myself are performing some tlc to my R20B.

The rear seat of my R16C is as I would expect; see following photograph. (744)

The rear seat of my R20B is as shown in the following photographs. (741, 743, 745).

Repairs are needed to the rear seat but we want to confirm if this seat set up is original. The piping on the seats make it look original, but the frame suggests otherwise, certainly not as my R16C or a R18A that we looked at a few days ago.

Can anyone help?

Also, it is evident that the hull was once named SUDDEN IMPACT. Does anyone have any recollection or history of this boat?

Does anyone have any history on a ring 20B named SUDDEN IMPACT?

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can help with the above query.
