Don't think Mike builds them anymore.

EDIT> clearly need to open my eyes, it's not Mikes site, is it!

I have a 1997 Ring 20C
I have some problems with registration in Poland
Here in Poland we have some strange laws about registration
Instpectors which are registering boats in Poland are saying that there are European laws but I'm not sure about it
The problem is that if the boat was build in europe after 1994 it suppose to have 13 digit serial number. Number of my boat is 20C/05-97 and they are saying that this is wrong number.

Another problem is that this boat do not have European Certification (CE). That is why I have to do some kind of stability test to make sure the boat is safe and I can run it offshore. And inspector is saying that this boat will NOT pass those test cause it is to narrow.
If I would have CE declarations I don't have to do such tests.

Can you guys help me with that?

Regards
MIKE

You serial # would indicate that it was built in May 97.. The CE scheme wasn't implemented until June 98, and so your boat wouldn't have needed a 13 digit serial number.

As far as I'm aware Mike didn't ever submit the 20 for CE certification, as he'd more or less ceased building sportsboats by then, other than his 21E. This was tested together with his ribs, and our range of his old sports cruisers. As your boat was built prior to the CE scheme, it wouldn't need to have a stability test either.

PM me the full serial number and I'll see what I can find out for you, as I'm talking to him tomorrow. I'm currently working on an updated version of your boat, and although the deck will be different, it will still be the same for test purposes, so if you can wait a while you can have a copy of my paperwork. Might be quite a while though!

I spoke to mike a while ago, and he confirmed that your boat wouldn't need paperwork as it's pre CE built.

His website is www.ringpowercraft.net
