Steering cable Fletcher 199

As above:
Does anyone know where to get an original cable to a Fletcher 199?
I suppose that is what has been on the boat since it was built, but I do not know the manufacturer nor what type of cable it is.

Cheers Seb

All right, here goes.
The steering says 'MORSE' on the plastic plate behind the steering wheel.
I have tryed to take some pictures from under the dashboard - hope it helps?

NB: The boat is an older Fletcher 199 (aprox 1987-88'ish)

You probably couldn't choose a more expensive cable, might be cheaper to change the helm and cable with rotary

Jesus f*cking christ!!
Those prices are way of the charge…!!
…whats the guarantee that the new cable will fit right in with the steering wheel's crank??
May need to sort things out some other way…!!!

Hi Seb!

I threw this sh*t out of my 199 and moved to a seatar-pro-system.
I am sure you will not regret this action :-)

I have one from my Bayliner sitting in my lounge if its any good to you?
it was from a Bayliner 185, still has the helm as well so you'll have a spare.

ill not lie to you, the reason its not in my Bayliner is I went ultraflex inboard hydraulic steering, wanted the light steering but not drain the power from the measly 3.0 Mercruiser lol.

seriously think hydraulic if you can afford it, its safer and a lot nicer to drive with.

Thanks for the replies.
I am trying to find a hydraulic system at the right price - seems just a little bit of a job.
