Teleflex cable steering....advice?

Hi all,

I'm looking at buying the Teleflex SS15214 NFB 'Pro Rack' dual cable steering system to run on a 2.5 merc as I'm having a lot of trouble elimintaing the play in the hydraulic system i'm running at the moment. Having spent weeks topping up the reservoir in the helm I think the seals are probably nackered or there's a leak somewhere..... It's one of the Hynautic systems that's no longer made as far as I can make out. Either way I'm fed up with faffing about with it.

Just wondering if anyone has tried this Teleflex cable system and If they would recommend it or not?

Any feedback would be great,

Cheers!
Ollie

I had the twin cables on Adrenalin with the 200 opti, I've never tried hydraulic on a big motor so can't really compare it but I never found the cables too heavy. Was a bit tiring coming back from Jersey but not too bad!

Come to think of it I don't think John actually brought the steering/foot throttle off of me (check with him see what he says) so your welcome to have it if he still has it!

+1 , especialy when you run the engine high on a jackplate .
Had a P18 with 200Blackmax 24P chopper on a bob's hydraulic lifter , i couldn't turn the thing without pulling my arm of until i fitted a hydraulic steering system .
