Tremlett 23

Hi,

Does anyone have any details on the Tremlett 23. I'm after what engines were fitted?
I'm still in two minds whether to fit twin outboards or one inboard with stern drive?

Thanks

'We' Fitted anything and everything to the Tremletts ,Single/Twin Outboards to Inboard Diesel or Petrol Outdrive/Waterjet/even Arneson.
Damned good sea boat whatever it had in it !!!!

The Volvo Aqad40 was a cracking choice though !!!

We're looking at the inboard diesel with a duo prop leg. What would be the max hp it would take?
I haven't picked it up yet but its a 23 and the beam is meant to be 9ft, does that sound right?

As much as you'd lke to throw into it !!!!

I liked the Aqad 40 (back then ) co's it was really good fuel consumption and took it to well ove 30 knots but today with even lighter and more powerful lumps you have soooo much choice , either 4 or 6 cylinder engines
like the Mercruiser 2.8 , 170hp 4cyl or the 4.2,200hp 6cyl , Yanmar BY or LP Sterndrive units or Volvo !!! ( or even the VW Marine Diesel Packages)

So a 23 with 165hp would do over 30kts?
Do you have any more info on the boats them selves or photos of the ones you used.

The one I bought is bare and needs completely refitting.

Volvo Penta Lightweight D3-190HP with DPS drive would be ideal power to weight ratio for that boat.

5 cylinder variable turbo diesel economy and electronic controlled.
