I agree, ATF fluid is the best for trim pumps and steering. U find a leak right away and it is colored hydraulic oil !!
No matter if merc recomends W30 i say ATF is the only fluid in pumps and steering that makes sense !!!!

i was only asking because somewere on the net it said atf fluid rots the seals and will start to leak and didnt want mine to bugger up
