On my 3 Merc Serial No. lists, C273729 falls into the range C221500 > D000749
which are for V6 engines in 1990/91, this range rather than covering only one hp size seems to cover the following ( a wee bit odd ??? )

275hp 1990 v6 3.4l
250hp 1990 v6 3.4l
200hp xri 1990 v6 2.4l
200hp xri 1991 v6 2.4l
200hp 1991 v6 2.5l
200hp 1990 v6 2.5l
150hp xr4 1990 v6 2.0l
150hp 1990 v6 2.0l
135 1990 v6 2.0l

also on one list C221500 > C291519 is listed as 200hp 2.4l v6

I dont think this helps alot

1990/1991 decals are in pic below ( 2nd & 3rd from the bottom )

But this is fun Steve it's a lot better than reading posts asking the same questions about props for the gizzilionth time. What I find most amusing is where did he find the serial number? On the saddle perhaps? I can't quite see the exhaust cover either. Anyway about the £100, I am still married so will have to pass you up on that 1 as it's impossible to be issued with that amount without first submitting the correct form in triplicate which I doubt would be approved.

Today i checked the compression on the heads and what i found was

left side
about 125-130 psi
8.2 bar
8.0 bar
8.2 bar

Right side
about 75-80 psi
6.2 bar
6.0 bar
6.2 bar

Why i go check this becouse the engine wont go over the 5100 rpm and it
aint screaming like the first run i make with it.

Sorry my english is not as good as i wish butt im dutch

The serial number is of the bracket

I checked the Reeds they were ok so i taked the head of en i saw a
fuel in the cooling chamber on all 3 the cyl so i order now new headgasket
and fix it on en test it again if is now ok.

The carb is of now the numbers are

1374-54270 WH
on the srew plate is says on top 157-
155
48-10759

And inside the carb on the trottle is says 34-79

Little language help -> Daarom noemen ze die "bitzer" , samengebouwd met verschillende stukken zoals in "bits and pieces".

I find this thread quite entertaining and informative though.
Good luck with getting this engine in shape.
Be carefull with the partnumbers : I guess bitzers can give major issues.
