Witch CLE-gearcase? Pics inside..

Hi.

Starting to wonder witch gearcase I have on, bought this last year and was told it was a 1,87-case, didn`t wonder anything about this until now when testing props...

So from the prics witch is it? 2:1? 1.62? This is one complete turn, exact on the flywheel/crank.

Yes, the cable tie is tight.

Will check more closely tomorrow, going to make a graded disk to put on top of the flywheel and follow the gear-shaft for a whole turn, then see where the flywheel stops.. Didn`t have the time do do it proper today..

if that is one turn on the fly wheel and the prop shaft has turned half a turn, if u do another turn on the crank the propshaft will do another half turn making it 1 whole turn, i reckon 2:1

...

I`m thinking it`s a 1:1.87 gearcase the more I think about it, one turn on the gear-shaft is 1.87 turn on the flywheel...almost two turns.

As you see in the picture the gearshaft is alittle over center after the half turn(complete turn on flywheel), so hence the flywheel will not complete two rounds before the gearshaft has completed one.

Are there even 1.62 gears for a CLE??

One full turn of the flywheel gives half a turn of the propshaft = 2:1

Looking at your pic again, propshaft looks to be just past half way, so 1.86:1 is your ratio, I'd imagine.

no i have thought about it, was trying to multi task i should give that up lol,
now i have my brain in gear

1 turn of crank put prop shaft from pic 1 to pic 2, and if u turn the prop shaft a further 313.2 degrees and the prop shaft goes back to pic 1 its defo 1.87:1

313.2 degrees is 87% of 360 degrees.

seems to be the 1.1,87 gear in it..

This is where the flywheel stopped after one complete turn of the gearshaft.
Started with the tape pointing towards the cowling-mount.
Tok one whole turn pluss the amount you see in the picture-should turn out to 1,87 rounds.
