XR2 + airhorn from 260

Some time ago I have heard that Airhorn from 260 merc fits into XR2
Is it true?? Is it really fit without any adapters??
Is there any more speed / rpm with it??

You would need to change the front case half to take injectors and a new fuel curve for a 2L.

Not sure it would make any more power just a little crisper.

Some simple things I don't want to cut heads, not sure if I want lightweight flywheel either

Any ideas??

That is a good idea. Since my dad is looking for some 200hp engine for his boat maybe I will give my XR2 for him and swap myself for 2.5efi ....

How much for this one?? Year?? Condition?? Hours?? Compression?? Mid?? Lower Unit??
Tell me more....
