I used between 75 to 85 litres in an hour OCR race with an xr2 depending on sea condition, with 75 litres in the rough.

3 hour race

We ran 240 litres for the 3 hour race on Windermere and ran out 200 meters after taking the checkers flag (80 an hour)

As Brian says, start off at 2 litres, then if you got a load of fuel left after the race bring it down a bit at a time until you know exactly what you need plus a bit to get to muster and you're away....
