XR2 Fuel Pump?

i just fitted a new XR2 powerhead on my boat, unlike my old 80's 150hp XR2 with diaphram type fuel pump it just has a blancking plate where pump would have been. do these motors need a pump?
i have an inline squeezie primer on the fuel pipe, is there any need for an electric fuel pump? or should i strip the mechanical 1 off my old powerhead and use that?
if electric fuel pump is needed can anyone tell me what size or pressure is good? and if i go electric pump i take it i can remove priming bulb?

cheers

go for the original diaphram mate..simple and it feeds on a need basis. ive tried the electric route and had flooding problems, iff you decide to go leccy then 5psi is all you need,as for gph i think i put a automotive one that could cope with 250hp which is now just used for my transfare pump fron bow tank to rear
